Your wedding ceremony
The most important thing to remember is that this is your day. It’s your moment to stand in front of the people who matter most and share your love and commitment in a way that feels right for you. It’s a deeply personal experience—one that’s all about you and those you love the most.
The story of how you met, the moments you’ve shared, and the dreams you hold for the future are uniquely yours—they belong to no one else. That’s why I believe your ceremony should be just as personal, thoughtfully shaped to reflect the connection you’ve built together.
I’ll make sure your ceremony strikes the right balance—whether that’s heartfelt emotion, genuine warmth, or a little light-hearted humour—so it truly reflects who you are, both as individuals and as a couple. Every ceremony I create is completely unique, because no two love stories are the same. I’ve never delivered the same ceremony twice, and I never will—your story deserves its own moment, crafted just for you.
There are so many beautiful ways to personalise your ceremony, including a variety of meaningful rituals. The classic—and still my personal favourite—is the exchange of rings. But there are plenty of others we can explore together, or perhaps you have a special idea of your own. So far, every idea a couple has brought to me has found its place in their ceremony—if it’s meaningful to you, I’ll do everything I can to include it.
I can’t promise perfect weather or a completely stress-free day. What I can promise is that I’ll be there to support you every step of the way, helping to create a wedding ceremony that feels meaningful, personal, and truly yours. It will be a moment filled with love and joy—one you and your guests will cherish forever.
Our first meeting is a relaxed chance for us to get to know each other and for you to see if I’m the right celebrant for your special day. Whether we catch up in person or over a virtual call—whatever’s easier for you—we’ll chat through your ideas, answer any questions you have, and talk about how the ceremony will fit into your overall wedding plans. If everything feels right, we can also take care of the Notice of Intended Marriage form during this time.
All official paperwork
I take care of all the legal paperwork required before and after your ceremony, so you can focus on enjoying the fun parts of planning your wedding. From the Notice of Intended Marriage to registering your marriage after the big day, I’ll guide you through each step and make sure everything is done properly and on time.

A ceremony that is truly yours
Whether you’d like me to write your ceremony or prefer to be more hands-on and write parts of it yourself, I’m here to support you. I don’t use templates—every ceremony is custom-made to reflect you and your story. You’ll have the chance to review and edit it as much as you like (as long as the legal essentials are covered). I typically work through about three drafts, and we’ll keep refining it together until you’re completely happy with the final version.
Optional rehearsal, for peace of mind
If you’d like to run through the ceremony ahead of time, we can organise a rehearsal in the week leading up to your wedding. It’s totally optional and can be just the two of you, or include your wedding party—whatever makes you feel most comfortable. It usually takes about 15–20 minutes and focuses on the simple things: entrances, exits, and where everyone will be standing. It’s a great way to ease any nerves and make sure everything flows smoothly on the day.
Accessibility is key
It’s important that your guests can fully experience every moment of your ceremony—after all, it’s the most meaningful part of your wedding celebration. Ideally, your venue will have a PA system available, but if not, you're more than welcome to use mine. I’ll make sure everything flows smoothly and that everyone feels connected to the celebration.
Planning for every possibility
While we all hope for perfect conditions on your special day, it’s always wise to be prepared for the unexpected. Together, we’ll talk through a thoughtful backup plan that fits your venue and vision. This way, no matter what happens, you can feel calm and confident knowing your ceremony will go smoothly and beautifully. I’m here to support you every step of the way, making sure your day is as stress-free and joyful as possible.
Before your ceremony, you’ll need to complete the Notice of Intended Marriage form. This must be lodged at least one calendar month before your wedding and is valid for 18 months. I can provide this form at our first meeting, or you’re welcome to download it yourself from the Attorney-General's website.
When filling out the form, you’ll need to have the following information ready:
1. Birth Certificates – These must be original or certified copies from the country of birth.
2. Passports – If you can’t lay your hands on your birth certificate, you can provide your passport instead.
(Overseas passports are permissible so long as they are in English or have been translated by an officially approved translator).
3. If either of you has been divorced, you will need your Decree Absolute.
4. If either of you has been widowed, you will need the Death Certificate.
5. For the ceremony, you will need 2 witnesses who must be over the age of 18.
Anything else we can go over during our initial meeting. For any further information regarding government legislation on marriage please go to https://www.ag.gov.au/FamiliesAndMarriage/Marriage/Pages/Getting-married.aspx
